Guerilla Poetry and Public Space

Palm Press has just released Landscapes of Dissent: Guerilla Poetry and Public Space by Jules Boykoff and Kaia Sand.

Carol Mirakove says:

"Sand and Boykoff remind us that there is a long history and ripe presence of intersections between poetry and politics... In an age in which alienation is among our most prevalent health hazards, Landscapes of Dissent demonstrates that poetry may be newly, again, good for you."

Among the many examples of poetry as community extension, Jules & Kaia include a chapter on the 2004 Christmas Eve PACE action in Philadelphia.
