Sonnets in the mail
Today I received a copy of book "Nets," by a poet name Jen Bervin. Each poem in the book is based on one of Shakespeare's sonnets. The name of the book "Nets" comes from "the sonNETS of W.S." Bervin goes through each sonnet and chooses words to form a new poem. I haven't read the book yet, but think it looks well done and interesting enough. The orig. text is in a ghost font. The book is published by Ugly Duckling Presse with a letter press cover and I've always like what I've read from the folks who put that out.
This is not one of Jen Bervin's poems, but Shakespeare's own sonnet 135. To read Bervin's take on 135 read every word that is "will" or "Will" and that is Bervin's poem: SONNET 135.
